Floriade 3

Hello,

This afternoon we went to Floriade again. Actually, this was the first time Budhe Iwu and Tante Alfa had time to visit Floriade. We watched Indonesian dance and song performance on a stage at Floriade.

The first performance was Sajojo dance from Papua, followed by a folk song from Papua. The rythm was so funky! I like it!

The second performance was Nuansaku dance. It was created by I Gede Aria and it was performed the first time at Floriade 2010! The dance was about the beautiful flowers at Floriade. The music was so unique. It was a mix between Balinese and Javanese. Cool!

The third was a medley of ten folk songs from west to east of Indonesia. They called it Indonesia mini. They sang Sinanggar Tulo, Soleram, Kicir-kicir, Gambang Suling, Paris Barantai ... and Yamko Rambe Yamko. Cool!

The forth was Cendrawasih dance. The three dancers here were mothers! One of them is Mbak Ririn, Budhe Iwu's oldest daughter. It was about Cendrawasih, the beautiful paradise bird from Papua. Beautiful!

The fifth was Rancak dance from Sumatra. It was about pencak silat, a traditional Indonesian martial art. Cool!

The Indonesian dance and song performance were splendid! After watching the performance, we took pictures of flowers again.

It was raining when we were about to go home. We had to wait until the rain stopped. Finally, the weather was nice again. We saw black swans were swimming in the lake. "Mommy, I want you to take a picture of me and that swans!"

On the way home, we saw a beautiful rainbow in the sky. "Mommy, look! Beautiful rainbow! ROYGBIV!"

I really had a good time today! I love the sandwich that my mom made for me. I also like fish and chips that we had at O'Connor. I love the flowers at Floriade and I like the performance! Alhamdulillah. Thank you, Budhe!
